Australian footwear business Wittner has partnered with the Salvation Army to drive footwear donations.

From October 15 to 31, Wittner is encouraging consumers to collect their unwanted, but still wearable shoes from any brand and put them into the Salvation Army donation bins at one of 66 Wittner stores across Australia.

Consumers will then be rewarded for the donation with a $30 voucher to spend in store.

All shoes donated will be sold at any of the 340 Salvos Stores across Australia, where 100% of the profits made go towards funding Salvation Army services and projects which aim to end hunger, homelessness and building stronger families and communities.

Wittner MD Debra Wittner said that the business believes that everyone should have access to wearable shoes.

"We chose to partner with The Salvos on this campaign because we feel it’s important for everyone to have the benefit of decent, wearable shoes, even if they’re not in a situation where they can buy a brand new pair," she said.
