Under Armour have dropped the latest addition to the Stephen Curry line, introducing the Curry 5.
The Curry 5's launched in Australia on June 16 and are available at Under Armour stores, Rebel and Foot Locker for $210.00.
The updates to the shoe include a full-knit structure, moulded cushioning and a lock-down lacing system. It is made from lightweight materials to allow for maximum speed and agility.
The shoe can be worn on all courts and can handle quick stops and change of direction.
Under Armour says the shoes are “wired different” to reflect the unique qualities Curry brings to the court.
The reaction on Twitter to the shoes is mixed, with some users saying that the Curry 5's are the best ones yet, while others aren't impressed.
“Best looking Curry yet, but that’s not saying much,” one user said.
While another was worried about the design: “Best SC design but as far as actually playing in these, I hate when the laces don't go to the top/fasten around the ankle.. [I don't know] what they call it but I hate that sock-top ankle. It's essentially a slip-on that tightens around the top of the foot, no wonder he's had ankle problems.”
