Australian, family-run, luxury brand, Von-Röutte, has launched a footwear line to expand its offering.
Known for leather bags, backpacks and small leather goods, this will be Von-Röutte's first foray into footwear.
Made up of four styles – Lyon, Rochelle, Montreux and Kyso – the designs are minimal, simple and handmade in Portugal, taking inspiration from the urban environment.
Founder and designer at Von-Röutte, Gus Agra, says the sneaker range ties perfectly into the modernist values that are present throughout all Von-Röutte designs.
“Simplicity and minimalism have always inspired us – modernist values are rooted in everything we do – and we’re excited to have translated this in our exciting new range of shoes.”
The range is made from natural materials like nubuck, suede, leather as well as recycled materials. The line comes in a limited natural colour range of black, white, grey and olive to appeal to men and women.
“Aesthetics and functionality are what we wanted to focus on with our collection – a timeless yet modern look that appeals to men and women alike,” Agra said.
Sneakers Season #One launched in June on both Von-Röutte's website and The Iconic and retail for between $240-$280.
