Boring bowling shoes are now a thing of the past, after Strike Bowling, beer brand Furphy and Aussie artist Steen Jones joined forces to launch the High Rollers collaboration.
The project has seen Jones reimagine the old-school bowling shoe, bowling ball and socks, creating the artwork exclusively for Strike.
Bowlers can upgrade to the High Rollers package to rep Jones' work while at the lanes, with the chance to win a pair of the limited edition Steen Jones socks and stickers to take home.
Jones, who has worked with other brands including Vans, Lego, Sailor Jerry, Rolling Stone and Converse, said this collaboration was especially special.
"It’s turned out to be such a cool (and bad-ass) collection if you ask me...and the long line of DMs asking when and where people can get their hands on the merch or get bowlin' as a high roller is a testament to that!
"Truth be told, I don't think I've ever had so much interest, hype or excitement for a collaboration, which is another reason why this project has been so great to be a part of.
"I really couldn’t be more stoked for this release or be more grateful or excited for the launch!
"FunLab have certainly made it fun... and we haven't even hit the launch party yet," he said.
The High Rollers package is available at select Strike Bowling locations around the country.
Funlab chief growth and innovation officer Blaise Witnish said the partnership with Jones was a great fit for the brand.
"We are so thrilled about what Steen has done to take our bowling balls and shoes up a notch.
"It’s something that we’ve never seen another bowling alley here do before.
"Steen’s epic art is so distinctive and reminiscent of the ‘60s, when bowling was at the height of its initial popularity, making this collab an absolute no-brainer," she said.
