Shoe label, Steve Madden, will relaunch in Australia in December, with two new retail stores and an online site.
The business has partnered with Signal Brands – a licensing and brand management firm – to launch the stores in Australia, as well as represent the brand in the region.
The Steve Madden stores will open at Highpoint Shopping Centre in Victoria on December 08 and Robina Town Centre in the Gold Coast on December 15, while the online site will go live on December 01.
Founder, creative and design chief, Steve Madden, said that he is thrilled to be bringing the footwear brand to new customers.
“I started the company in 1990 with one goal in mind, I wanted everyone to wear my shoes. After 29 years that goal still remains.
“I’m excited to be partnering with Paul Smith and Signal Brands to bring Steve Madden to a new audience.”
Group managing director at Signal Brands, Paul Smith, said that the two Steve Madden stores opening in December, are only the beginning for the brand in Australia.
“We feel very privileged Signal Brands were identified and given the opportunity from Steve Madden to manage the brand representation in Australia.
“The past year we have been very strategic in our approach setting up the structure and re-positioning for a consumer success story in our market.
“Two concept stores will launch December 2018 along with a dedicated Australian online customer experience.
“An additional six stores are set to open in 2019. Our team is ready, committed and excited to be part of this journey and very much look forward to the growth of the billion-dollar brand that is Steve Madden both locally and globally.”
The Steve Madden brand is sold in more than 80 countries across the globe.
