Australian fashion brand, Jac + Jack, has launched its first footwear collaboration with French footwear brand, Spring Court.
The limited edition sneakers feature European canvas, with simple tonal enamel eyelets paired with lacing which comes in two colours – ecru and red. The shoe also features Jac + Jack herringbone details, which complement the grey hand-made soles.
Jac + Jack co-founder and women's designer, Jac Hunt, told Shoe Trader that the collaboration allowed Jac + Jack to break-down and redevelop the Spring Court styles with Jac + Jack touches.
“Spring Court are an iconic classic brand known for their quality and comfort, fitting really well into our brand ethos.
“We saw an opportunity to take what they do so well and elevate their classic sneaker into a styled fashion version.
“Our brand is all about a modern take on a classic so it was a lot of fun to design - breaking down each element of the shoe and coming up with creative ideas to develop them.
“The result is a good looking shoe that has an extra layer of comfort and style.”
This may not be the only footwear collaboration from the Aussie brand, as Hunt said future Jac + Jack footwear collaborations could come about, if the brands align well.
“If the right thing came along, of course. We always view any collab with a sense of context, it has to have a synergy that makes sense for both brands.
“It’s a great way to talk about something new for both parties and they are also a lot of fun to do.”
The Spring Court x Jac + Jack collaboration was released on October 03 on both brands' websites and retail stores and retail for $220.00.
