Donna Player has been revealed as the newest board member to join the Accent Group.
The group, which operates footwear retailers Hype DC, Platypus and Skechers, stated Player will join the board following its AGM on November 23.
Player has most recently been working with eCommerce pureplayer, The Iconic, as well as on the board of bulk good baby retailer Baby Bunting.
Accent Group also announced its current chairman Ivan Hammerschlag will retire after the AGM, following 11 years with the business.
The board has unanimously elected David Gordon to the Chair. David joined the board at the same time as Ivan and has been a non-executive director and chairman of the audit and risk committee (ARC) ever since.
Stephen Goddard was also announced as a new board member, set to join the same time as Player.
Goddard is currently a non-executive director of both JB Hi-Fi and GWA Group and is a former non-executive director and ARC chair of both Pacific Brands and Surfstitch.
