Habbot has launched an integrated online customisable platform #myhabbot.
It follows a successful trial in 2016, where clients were invited to customise a Habbot classic leather sole, Derby.
In an Australian first, customers were invited to create an Italian handcrafted #myhabbot pair of shoes, choosing a selection of Italian leathers.
Now customers can customise four Habbot styles, with materials doubled to 24 choices.
These include glitters, patents, suede and soft nappa leather.
‘Brogueing’ (hole-punch details) is also possible as is choosing the colour of the shoe lace.
Habbot designer Annie Abbott said she is thrilled by the launch.
"I have always been passionate about being true to one’s style and creating pieces that are made to outlive passing trends, in favour of timeless appeal.
"Continuing the #myhabbot concept after the initial trial in 2016, with advancements in supporting technology is a big step for us, a small yet passionate local business.
"#myhabbot increases our customers involvement in the design process, empowering her to express her unique style sartorially which further celebrates our approach to limited production, reducing excess and creating quality footwear in a fast-moving fashion world."
Customers wishing to participate can request a design pack which includes leather swatch samples, a size chart and style imagery to assist them in designing their #myhabbot design.
Final designs are submitted to Habbot’s Italian manufacturing workshop, where artisan crafters will produce a handcrafted shoe made in Italy.
Habbot has worked closely to expedite the manufacturing process from three months to one.
In addition, the program will be available in two additional sizes outside of the standard habbot collection, sizes 34 and 43.
#myhabbot will launch in-store and online on September 3.
