Cristina Larisse is Australia's new online destination for handcrafted footwear sourced from local and global designers.
The website specialises in offering quailty footwear from independent designers who employ sustainable practices in their businesses to Australian consumers.
Cristina Larisse founder Penny Tantalos said that she launched the site after failing to find handcrafted shoes to purchase in Australia.
"I launched the online platform after struggling to find quality, unique and handcrafted shoes within Australia. I studied the art of shoemaking to further understand the craft, and using this knowledge, I travelled overseas to personally establish relationships with a range of Europe’s boutique designers and manufacturers.
“We are on a continuous search for new brands who create eye catching, handcrafted footwear, and we only select products that are made with superior, quality materials.
"We support both emerging and established designers alike, and by focusing on designers, we support makers not machines," she said.
The site has built-in 'Right-Fit' technology which helps consumers to purchase the correct pair and also offers express courier delivery and free returns.
"Right Fit allows shoppers to input foot measurements and receive their best shoe size tailored to the specific style of shoe, safeguarding customer confidence in every Cristina Larisse purchase," Tantalos said.
"In a market filled with fast fashion and disposable products, we want to make a bold statement as a slow fashion advocate and leader in handcrafted footwear.
"We are committed to improving the accessibility of eco-friendly footwear, supporting sustainable designers and the working conditions for those within the shoe making industry."
