Footwear brand, Dr. Martens has released a Pride themed 1460 boot in time for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
The shoe is decorated with bold rainbow stripes and sports the word Pride on the backstrap.
In a statement, Dr. Martens said that the Pride pair of 1460 boots are the loudest style the brand has released.
"This year we celebrate Pride, and the individuals within the LGBTQ+ movement with our brightest pair of 1460 boots.
"Just in time for Mardi Gras, our icon proudly takes on the colours of the rainbow flag and is finished with ‘Pride’ on the backstrap for a bold way to rock Docs.
"The style is finished with our air-cushioned sole for ultra comfort, rainbow details to the welt, heel-loop, sole pad and laces and multi-coloured eyelets."
The Pride style comes as part of Dr. Martens February drop, whereby the brand has also released a Sex Pistols collaboration as well as a Valentine's Day themed shoe and accessory line.
Dr. Martens said that the Sex Pistols colloaboration draws inspiration from the album artwork seen on the Jamie Reid record.
"Dr. Martens has brought out a rocking new collab with the Sex Pistols, bringing two icons together.
"To this day they’re regarded as one of the most influential acts in the history of popular music.
"This collection is inspired by the iconic Jamie Reid album artwork and features Sex Pistols song lyrics.
"The collection includes the 1490 10-eye boot, 1460 eight-eye boot, 1925 steel toe, Toomey canvas slip-on, plus, complimentary clothing and accessories."
All the new styles will be available throughout Australia in-store and online and will retail for between $129 to $299, while the accessories will range from $25 to $399.
