After its first collaboration collection sold out in minutes, Crocs has again teamed up with Australian musician G Flip.
The new collaboration has seen G Flip design a new 'Classic Clog' which features their iconic 'Jeromo' logo and a double strap for extra support.
Additionally, G Flip also designed five accompanying Jibbitz that represent their life; a rainbow which gives a nod to the rainbow community that they're a part of; a crown representing their anthemic single 'Queen'; Party? which is G Flip's favourite tattoo; Denise the sassy llama; and, the logo for their hugely popular single, 'Hyperfine.'
Speaking on the collaboration, G Flip said they were proud to grow their partnership with Crocs.
"Crocs and I have had an incredible journey together so far and now it continues with another G Flip x Crocs collaboration.
"I’ve had this design in my head ever since I started wearing Crocs so it’s a dream come true to see it in real life.
"They’re comfy, they’re easy on the eyes and they make dreams come true; especially mine," G Flip said.
The collaboration also marks a key step forward for Crocs in Australia, naming Platypus Shoes as an authorised retailer for the brand.
The G Flip x Crocs collaboration will be the first of many capsules that will be available at Platypus going forward.
Crocs VP of regional marketing Asia, Neil Pryde said the alignment with Platypus was the perfect fit for the brand, as both brands appeal to the youth market.
"Crocs is proud to collaborate for the second time with G Flip.
"To have G Flip highly involved in the design process has made for a truly unique shoe that embodies our Come As You Are campaign spirit of self expression.
"This collaboration will also kick-start an exciting strategic partnership with top Australian sneaker retailer Platypus, who share our core values and appeal to the same youthful audience," he said.
Platypus head Lucy Feldy welcomed the partnership with Crocs.
"At Platypus we are all about keeping a close eye on global trends to ensure we are the one-stop-shop for the Australian youth consumer.
"We are excited to dive into this partnership with Crocs as they are the shoe everyone is currently talking about.
"We pride ourselves on our inclusivity and individuality.
"With the bold prints, colours and the personalisation offered through Jibbitz; Crocs are the perfect vehicle for our consumers to create their own pair and tell their own story.
"The G Flip collaboration felt like a natural fit for Platypus; we love what they stand for as we continue to champion inclusivity as a pillar of the Platypus business," she said.
To celebrate the launch, G Flip will go live on the Platypus Instagram on Wednesday 15th September at 6pm AEST.
The session will be hosted by Flex Mami aka Lillian Ahenkan and G Flip will be answering questions as well as playing a few of their most popular songs.
The G Flip x Crocs collaboration will go live on the Platypus shoes website and Karrinyup (WA) and Joondalup (WA) stores on September 15 at 6:30pm, as well as on the Crocs Australia website at 7.30pm.
