Cole Haan Australia has celebrated a major step forward in its expansion in the local market, launching into department store David Jones.
The highly-anticipated move was reported by Ragtrader in March, following the brand's launch into the market as part of the True Alliance portfolio.
The partnership with David Jones will give customers the first opportunity to try the Cole Haan shoes on in person, with ranges available in South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales, with Victoria not too far behind.
Cole Haan brand manager Adam Hendler welcomed the partnership with the department store.
"The partnering of these two heritage brands is very exciting.
"Whilst we might be new to Australia, the brand has wonderful and loyal patrons the world over and we see a bright future for Cole Haan in this market.
"We are looking forward to working with David Jones in building our online presence and growing our range across more doors and categories," he said.
From the beginning of December in brick-and-mortar stores and on the David Jones website from mid-November, Cole Haan will be rolling out a selection of men’s key styles: GrandPrø Tennis Sneakers and GrandPrø Rally Canvas Court Sneakers as well as classic dress casual silhouettes from the ØriginalGrand and ZerøGrand collections.
Cole Haan sits alongside other brands including The North Face, Speedo, Ugg, Lacoste and Wrangler in the True Alliance portfolio.
