Following six years of leading children's footwear brand, Bobux International CEO Andrew Sharp is stepping down from the role.
Sharp will depart the business at the end of July to take up the opportunity to build his own business in the electronics industry.
According to Bobux, Sharp has built and led a team that has outpaced international growth rates by 10x year-on-year in a highly competitive, global market.
Sharp's leadership helped accelerate the business' goal to be the best children's footwear brand in the world.
Reflecting on his time in the role, Sharp said he is proud of his team's achievements.
"What has been most important has been to build a phenomenal team that is able to understand our customers’ needs, then implement our strategy to such a high standard – that is what I am most proud of from the past five and a half years," he said.
In 2021, Bobux is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its New Zealand founding, as well as continued growth in online and retail channels.
"In recent times, Bobux has undergone a significant digital transformation, evolved its product and distribution offering to a rapidly changing consumer landscape and navigated a global pandemic, coming out stronger than when it went in," Bobux added in a statement.
Bobux CFO Matt Smith will assume acting CEO responsibilities as the Board engages in a global search to recruit a new CEO.
