Australian footwear brand, Billini, launched its summer line in August, focusing on bright pops of colour, new-look slides and clear perspex details. 

Speaking to Imogen Bailey, product and creative manager at Billini, Nathalie King, revealed the trends the brand will be capitalising on for summer. 

What does the Billini production team see as the upcoming trends for the season?  

We have so many exciting trends in store. We are definitely vibing pastel tones in patent and suede finishes — so 70s! We are also loving all things snakeskin — we have a lot of amazing boots and pumps in chic snakes. 

A lot of square toe heels are coming through which is an exciting new look for us, and we have of course continued on with the vinalyte clear heels — this is a huge look that just won’t die!

What materials are used throughout the new season range?  

Soft suede finishes are always a good go-to for us. We also are working with snake and textured finishes, as well as patents and nubucks.

As mentioned, clear perspex finishes are also something we are continuing to work with in our ranges. Although we work with synthetic materials, we always strive to ensure our fabrications have a quality, leather-look finish.

How do these new styles differ from previous Billini styles?

We always aim to provide our customers with newness. There are so many exciting fresh trends hitting the fashion scene, and we always ensure that we showcase these to our customers as soon as possible.

We carry on with classic, core styles, and often update key looks from previous ranges in new fabrications, textures or colours, however [with] this range we have injected a lot of new heels, colours, patterns and details to give our Billini girl reason to buy and hit refresh on her summer wardrobe.

What will the pricing be on the range?

We have multiple ranges dropping in the next few months. Our prices for our summer collection range between $49.95 (for a basic casual slide) to $99.95 for a statement heel.

We always keep our prices affordable and competitive, while still providing quick to market trend based styles. Our summer one collection has just dropped in stores, and we will be launching summer two at the end of September.

After that we have a few exciting edits, and a really special collaboration.
