Bared Footwear today announced the opening of its first men’s only retail store, located at 11 Manchester Lane in Melbourne CBD.
The opening of the new men’s store follows a positive reaction to its existing stores at 1098 High Street Armadale and 36 Manchester Lane in Melbourne.
Founder Anna Baird said the expansion of Bared stores in Australia continues the brand’s active growth in the Asia Pacific region.
"The opening of our third retail store in Melbourne is an exciting next step for our brand and prioritising our men’s range is something we have been wanting to do for a long time.
"Melbourne CBD is a destination for Australian and international fashion, and we're thrilled to continue to add to the precinct by offering a men’s only retail experience.”
The newly overhauled space features high ceilings and industrial New York inspired glass windows.
Continuing the brand story from the existing Bared store in the laneway, the interiors include dark timber panelling, leather and unique lighting installations and mature greenery.
Baird confirmed it will offer the male consumer the full line-up of the Bared men’s range.
“The men’s side of our business is really fascinating, and I love the challenge of it.
"Men are knowledgeable about their shoes and accessories.
"Men want to know whether the lining is calf or pig and whether the shoe last is ‘Blake’ or ‘Goodyear’.
"For us, this is great as we can not only talk about our shoe construction but really explain our point of difference.
"We can educate them on why our shoes may look like other great men’s brands but the support and comfort of them is like no other. Once we have converted them, it is great to hear them say that they now only wear Bared shoes.”
