Melbourne footwear brand, Aquila has announced its latest 'real man' to front its Real Guys, Real Good Shoes campaign.
Carlton captain Patrick Cripps is the latest man to join the line-up, following NRL player Benji Marshall.
Launched in September, the Real Guys, Real Good Shoes campaign celebrates real men from all walks of life and is a conscious move from the brand to shift away from airburshed models and complex photoshoots.
Aquila CEO Luke Longo said that Cripps slotted perfectly into the campaign.
"Patrick was the perfect fit for our Real Guys line up.
"He is a charismatic real guy, who shows as much class on the field as he does off and has achieved such incredible accolades at a young age.
"Our latest campaign is for men from all walks of life. We are honoured to be working with some extraordinary guys across a variety of industries including food, street art, sport and grooming to represent the brand and look forward to announcing further names over the coming months," he said.
Cripps, who was named in the 2019 AFL All Australian team and was voted by his peers as the AFL’s 2019 Most Valuable Player, said that he was thrilled to be a part of the campaign.
"I have always been a huge fan of Aquila and I am pumped to be working alongside the brand for the ‘Real Guys’ campaign.
"They definitely have ‘Real Good Shoes’ for end of season events such as the Brownlow which I am really excited for," he said.
Cripps is a contender for the Brownlow Medal and currently has 49 votes to his name. He will attend the event in head-to-toe Aquila.
