What is the inspiration behind your collection at NZFW?
AW17, entitled Chapter Seven 'Always the More, Never the Less', explores our compulsion to pack our plates full, with little space left to be still.
What are some of the core fabrications used?
Wool cashmere coating, New Zealand merino wool, silks, organic cotton shirting and organic cotton corduroy, certified by Global Organic Textile Standard.
What about key embellishments and detailing?
Draw cords, shirring, ruffles and Tagua nut buttons.
Where will the range be manufactured?
Locally in Auckland, New Zealand.
How many pieces is your average collection and what are the average price points?
The average collection is 20-25 different styles with colour and fabric variations. The average price points are $150 - $700 NZD.

What do you see as the biggest challenge facing New Zealand designers?
The isolation.

What is a break-through moment you are most proud of?
Being picked up by a showroom in Sydney was a great step forward.

Nailing down production suppliers took a lot of trial and error.

Working out of a spacious studio flooded with natural light, supplying carefully selected stockists, in all corners of the globe.
