Zimmermann has revealed its spring 2024 collection at Paris Fashion Week, the brand’s first major show since inking a $1.75 billion deal.
In August, private equity firm Advent International secured a major stake in the Australian luxury brand as part of the record-breaking acquisition.
Zimmermann creative director Nicky Zimmermann said the latest collection draws from nature.
"For key collection prints, we were drawn to the lovely, unexpected colour combinations of abstract landscape colourists and mixed these with the more scientific mood of classic botanist art against clean white backdrops.
“We also explored the visual symmetry that is found in nature and looked to 3D naturalist sculptures for inspiration in creating detail, shape and movement.
“The collection direction is clean and fresh, with a strong expression of colour, sculptural silhouettes and a variety of textures. All taking their cues from expressions of our natural surroundings."
The collection features floral illustrations in sheer prints, draped bodices and laser-cut fabric flowers.
Zimmermann has also included practical garments alongside its signature feminine dresses, with boxy shirts and boiler suits in stiff flecked cotton alongside shirt dresses and cropped jackets in nappa leather and denim separates.
Founded in Sydney in 1991 by sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann, the brand operates a network of 58 of its own stores in Australia, the United States, the UK, Europe and China. Zimmermann is also stocked in luxury department stores globally and trades through its eCommerce platform.
