Premium menswear retailer Masons has finally opened the doors to its first mutli-brand flagship store in Australia, after close to 12 months since leasing the space.
The company leased the 430 square metre ground floor space of the iconic four-storey Flinders Lane warehouse in July 2016.
Following this, the space went through a complete refurbishment under the design approach of Cox Architects lead designer Anthea Leyden.
The new store will stock 25 labels across the urban contemporary, modern luxury and classic luxury apparel ranges, as well as leather goods, accessories and fragrance.
A number of international brands will be brought out to Australia for the first time through the company including Alyx, Ambush, Slowear, OAMC, Resolute Denim, Tramarossa, Stemar and Zilli.
Masons GM Marco Siracusa said the company wanted to be able to provide Australian consumers with a completely unique offering before opening the store.
"We wanted to do things differently with Masons. We have unique brands and are honoured to be the sole stockist in Australia of many of these labels.
"We believe our customer will appreciate the depth of our range and the quality of our offering.
"The reputation of Melbourne as a luxury shopping destination is growing year-on-year and Masons will take menswear in Australia to the next level.”
The architectural design of the store features modern and luxurious space, created by embracing and enhancing the building’s original features with American oak stained herringbone flooring.
The original design has also been juxtaposed with custom-cut large format Italian marble floor tiles and pattern-to-wall stone tiles.
A masculine base colour palette, coupled with finishes and Italian furnishings complete the space.
The new store will also offer fitting and tailoring, a whisky and coffee bar, home delivery of weekend purchases and an extensive VIP program.
