"After a long wait and extensive fine tuning, Uniqlo and I are extremely excited to announce the return of the RF hat in 8 fresh colours starting December 8, 2020.
"This hat has meant so much to me and to my fans over the years.
"It has given us a way to visibly connect, and I have appreciated the opportunity to thrive off this supportive energy.
"I want to thank Uniqlo for this effort and look forward to seeing everyone in the near future," he said.
The news comes as the media reports that a new beginning date for the Australian Open has been set for February 08.
According to reports, the pushed-back date allows players to comply with strict quarantine measures imposed by the DHHS, where players will have to repeatedly test negative on days one, three, seven, 10 and 14 during their quarantine period in order to play.
Tennis Australia is set to pay for the players' charter flights, player and entourage quarantine costs, meals and accommodation.
Meanwhile, the Roger Federer x Uniqlo caps will retail for $39.90 and will be available in select stores and online from December 08.
