Australian swimwear label Triangl has reported an annual turnover of US$45 million since its launch three years ago.

Its founders Craig Ellis and Erin Deering received a cash advance of $25,000 in 2012 to launch a wholesale business before deciding to focus purely building an e-commerce platform.

It set out with a target to sell just one bikini per day.

The brand's success has been attributed to its cult celebrity status from the likes of Miley Cyrus, Kendall and Kylie Jenner and Beyoncé, which has attracted 2.8 million followers on its Instagram account.

Triangl has identified the US as its biggest selling market, with Deering also making it into BRW'S Young Rich List with a reported net worth of $36 million.

The brand is identifiable through its offering of neoprene bikinis in bold neons.

At this stage the label will continue to sell solely online with no suggestion of opening standalone bricks-and-mortar stores.

Triangl price points generally range from AU$97-$107.
