Australian fashion label Viktoria & Woods has opened a new boutique in Sydney’s inner south at 115 Dunning Avenue in Rosebery.
Designed by Melbourne-based interior designer Annabel Kerr, Viktoria & Woods’ new store covers 300 square metres of floor space, and adds to four other retail locations across Sydney.
Overall, Viktoria & Woods hosts 16 retail stores, alongside a selection of David Jones concessions. The brand is also sold through Superette in New Zealand and Harrods and Selfridges in the United Kingdom.
“Evolving our brand and expanding our retail footprint has been an exciting journey,” founder and creative director Margie Woods said.
“As we celebrate our 20th year in business, the opening of our Rosebery boutique stands as a testament to our enduring commitment to our customers.”
The new store in Rosebery will act as both a full-price boutique and outlet space, integrated through steel-framed bi-fold partitions. It is housed in the Rosebery Engine Yards which was initially constructed in 1921.
The store incorporates existing concrete flooring and brickwork, as well as overhead trusses and celestial windows. The store has a dusty green colourway and a Japanese Maple tree centrepiece.
The store also incorporates Henry Wilson light fixtures, ceramic works by Melbourne-based Sarah Nedovich, side tables by Zachary Frankel and ceramics by Alison Frith and Jessica Sellinger, alongside mid-century artefacts such as a Flowerpot VP9 Table Lamp designed by Verner Panton in 1968.
Young creatives are also featured in the store, including acrylic on canvas artwork ‘Enough’ by Sara Munges.
“Both Margie and myself are deeply passionate about tapping into Australia’s local creative community,” Annabel Kerr said.
“By collaborating with artisans like Sarah Nedovich, we not only elevate the overall experience for Viktoria & Woods’ customers but also celebrate the rich tapestry of talent that exists right here in Australia.”
The Rosebery location is home to a growing selection of retail and outlet spaces, with brands and retailers including Incu, Oxford, Industrie, Zimmermann and Noni B.
