Japanese retailer Uniqlo is set relocate its Chadstone store to a brand-new expanded retail space.

Uniqlo will unveil its new Chadstone store on October 13, with the move doubling its floor space since it first opened at the complex two years ago.

Uniqlo Chadstone will showcase a full and colourful line-up of Uniqlo LifeWear across men, women, children and babies.

The store will cover two levels and boaststhe largest glass mannequin showcase in any Australian Uniqlo store.

Standing over seven metres high, the glass showcase highlight key items for the season.

Uniqlo Australia chief development officer Mark Parker said the new store is reflective of the growing demand for Uniqlo in the local market.

“Chadstone has held a special place in the growth plan of Unilqo Australia since we first opened.

"Our larger Chadstone store will allow shoppers to access a more substantial range of product, putting our LifeWear philosophy centre stage in one of the biggest shopping centres in the Southern Hemisphere.

“We opened the doors to our first Australian store at Melbourne’s Emporium over two years ago.

"Since then, we’ve opened four stores in Victoria alone and we’re looking forward to continuing to strengthen our offering across the state. "

Vicinity Centres MD Angus McNaughton said the opening comes at a crucial time for the centre.

"Our upcoming $660 million redevelopment will reinforce Chadstone's position as one of the most successful shopping precincts our country has to offer and we are delighted to welcome Uniqlo, a major globalplayer in the retail landscape."

The current Uniqlo Chadstone store will close on September 9 in preparation of the new store opening.
