Fashion house UnderCoverWear (UCW) has flagged changes ahead, with the company on course to make waves this year.

UCW, which welcomed new CEO and director Montgomery Grant to the helm last year, has now confirmed details behind the appointment of its new national field sales manager.

The company said its new recruit, Katrina Gregory, has already “hit the ground running and commenced a major overhaul of the company's field compensation plan to bring it in line with current competitors”.

Gregory has in excess of twenty years party plan industry experience and knowledge and marks a new beginning for UCW, according to CEO Grant.

“There has been a major marketing effort to book and present parties in the month of January 2014, historically a quiet time of year, and the company now finds itself with double the number of confirmed party presentations.

“Under new management, [we are] confident that the steps taken to rebuild the sales field, improve training methods, and re-vitalise the garment range will create growth in the third and fourth quarter of the 2014 financial year.”

At the time of his appointment, Grant said he was focused on “implementing some exciting new changes” into the UCW business.

These changes included:

  • a strong injection of fresh new styles, giving you a broader variety of product and more reasons to have an UnderCoverWear Party

  • more frequent releases of new styles into the range

  • a reintroduction of Australian made products, helping to support the Australian economy and ensure stock levels do not run low

  • an improvement to brand awareness in the broader community

  • that UnderCoverWear is fun and easy to do business with

To date UCW has been heavily focused on its direct selling channel, which is undertaken by independent small business people, variously described as distributors, consultants or representatives, through networked party plan and other sales methods.
