Bondi Beach-based luxury retailer Tuchuzy has been sold in a private sale to two ongoing investors, Andrew Shub and Gary Briner.

Shub has been a director at Tuchuzy since December 2020 and is the co-founder and former director of Alexandria-based retailer Mon Purse. He is also the founder and former managing director of South African-born fashion retailer Queenspark.

Gary Briner is the chief financial officer at IWM Agency.

Both have been investors in Tuchuzy for the last two years.

Tuchuzy founder and now-former director Daria Sakic told Ragtrader that she sold the brand in a bid to travel for self-discovery and development

She will be travelling around the Middle East to generate inspiration and will take on consulting work upon her return.

“I am looking at alternative holistic health and seeing if I can mix it in with fashion,” Sakic said.

Meanwhile, Sakic said that Tuchuzy has recently added new buyers to the team.

Tuchuzy was launched in 1995 as a luxury multi-brand retailer. Its portfolio includes brands such as Proenza Schouler, Anine Bing, Nagnata, House of Sunny, Basskie and Helmut Lang.
