TK Maxx is set to open its first South Australian store in Adelaide.
The international department store has had success domestically, as other competitors such as Debenhams leave the market.
Debenhams traded through a flagship store in Melbourne, as well as online, but was unable to build traction locally.
The new TK Maxx store will be the brand's 60th in Australia and has been highly requested from customers since the brand arrived on the east coast of Australia in 2017.
TJX Australia assistant VP Tony Dunseath said that the business is thrilled to open in South Australia.
"TK Maxx fans have been asking us to come to Adelaide for a while, which makes it even more exciting to officially announce that we will be opening our first South Australian store, becoming a member of the Adelaide community.
"We look forward to welcoming new customers later this year to explore our ever-changing assortment of international big brands at small prices," he said.
The store will house TK Maxx's assortment of women’s, men’s and kids’ fashion, alongside footwear, accessories, intimates, beauty, luggage and homewares.
