Global dating app Tinder has teamed up with Australian fashion label Double Rainbouu to create a limited mini capsule collection to mark pride season in Australia.
The Tinder x Double Rainbouu collaboration includes one of the brand’s core Hawaiian shirt designs in hot pink featuring the Tinder flame logo, alongside an athletic set.
According to Tinder data, 30 per cent of all matches on its platform today are happening between LGBTIQA+ users, a figure that has grown by 66 per cent year-on-year.
As part of the partnership, all profits from the range will be donated to The Equality Project, an LGBTIQA+ charity that promotes the health and wellbeing of rainbow communities across Australia.
“I appreciate Tinder for embracing all kinds of love – because love is for everyone,” Double Rainbouu founder and designer Mikey Nolan said. “That’s what this collab is all about.
“I adore my queer community, and I’m so proud of this pride collection. It’s fluid, fun, and unapologetic. Keep it baggy, cinch the toggles, show a little skin. Wear it loud – scream pink – or dial it back with black. However you style it, own it."
Tinder country director in Australia Kristen Hardeman said the collaboration is a tribute to the local LGBTIQA+ community.
“As one of the first dating apps to expand the gender identities and sexual orientation options available to users, Tinder welcomes everyone and supports the LGBTIQA+ community in creating meaningful connections,” Hardeman said. “This purpose-driven collection is about embracing love in all its many forms, and we can’t wait to see people wearing it as part of their Pride celebrations.”
The campaign highlighting the new collection features an all-queer Australian cast, who are a collective of models, creators, DJs and dancers. They include Alyssa Harper, Domskii, Xavier Gibson, Archer, Noah Barratt, Tommyana, Tynga Williams, and Mowgli May DJ.
“I adore the pieces in this capsule, especially the adjustable drawstrings on the jersey and shorts, which allow for endless styling possibilities,” Harper said. “But beyond the fashion, what makes this collab truly special is its impact.”
According to Tinder, almost 7 billion LGBTIQA+ matches have been made to date on its platform globally and over 20 per cent of new Tinder users identifying as queer.
The Tinder x Double Rainbouu collection will be available for purchase on Double Rainbouu’s website from February 14, 2025.
