Kathmandu has launched a limited edition heritage range as part of the brand's celebration of 30 years in business.

The new range pays homage to Kathmandu’s history of travel and adventure, highlighting the changes to the brands' products over the years.

Kathmandu global marketing manager Tim Loftus praised the work of the design teams over the past 30 years and took the opportunity to thank the brand's customers for their continued support.

“For 30 years, we have designed our gear to take on the outdoors and the adventurous spirit of our customers.

"Drawing on their feedback, the skill of our talented design team and our trusted suppliers, we have been able to transform our gear to keep up with the modern traveller focus and stay true to developing quality products with both people and the planet in mind.”

“We are excited to share our anniversary with our customers all over the world. We never tire of hearing of the adventures from customers who travelled with Kathmandu gear."

Kathmandu originated in New Zealand and the first retail store was opened in Melbourne’s Hardware Lane in 1987.

The brand has since grown to 165 stores across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, as well as an online retail store.

It is also inviting customers to share images of their Kathmandu gear over the past 30 years on Instagram via the hashtag #Kathmandu87.
