UK-based womenswear label Sosandar has signed an agreement with The Iconic to begin selling online in early 2024.

It will be the first venture for the fashion brand in the Australian market.

The latest deal comes after The Iconic struck wholesale partnerships with two H&M subsidiaries COS and & Other Stories earlier this year.

As well as The Iconic, Sosandar has also signed on with The Bay in Canada, with the brand saying this has exceeded its previously stated target of launching with one such partner before March 31, 2024 (FY24 end).

Co-CEOs Ali Hall and Julie Lavington said these are Sosandar’s first international third-party partners.

"Over the last few years, we have demonstrated how successful these types of agreements can be, and after an extensive and thorough period of research, we believe that the first partners we have selected are the perfect fit to launch our international growth,” they said.

“We have no doubt that our unique and diverse product range will resonate with customers globally, just as it has done in the UK.”

Sosandar was initially launched in 2016. Over the last three years, the company has added and expanded its online presence with third party online partnerships including UK retailers Marks & Spencer and Next. This was followed by the recent launch as a flagship brand with Sainsbury's both online and in-store this year.

The brand is preparing to open its first standalone store next year.

In the first half of FY24, the Sosandar’s net revenue hit £22.3 million (AUD$42.7 million), up 6% on last year.
