Australia and New Zealand online marketplace The Iconic has signed on H&M subsidiary COS in a wholesale deal.

It follows the successful launch of & Other Stories on The Iconic earlier this year - another H&M-owned brand. H&M also owns and operates Monki, Weekday, H&M Home and ARKET.

The Iconic chief commercial and sustainability officer Gayle Burchell said the partnership with COS will offer its customer-base more shopping options.

“Central to this is forming robust partnerships with brands who, like us, are committed to creating holistic, customer-first experiences across all channels,” Burchell said. “This is why we are so thrilled to partner with COS - an incredible, global powerhouse - to expand the ways in which our millions of shared customers can shop COS’ coveted collections in Australia and New Zealand."

For COS, this marks the latest step in global wholesale growth, including partnerships with Nordstrom, Breuninger and Yoox signed in Autumn last year.

COS managing director Lea Rytz Goldman said the partnership with The Iconic was strategic for the AU/NZ market.

“This provides a great opportunity for COS to increase brand awareness as well as reach new customers in these countries,” Goldman said. “By adding another established retailer in a major market to our wholesale portfolio, we can build on our existing online presence while engaging and inspiring customers via new channels.”

COS is now available to shop online at The Iconic with a curated assortment of womenswear and menswear products from the latest SS23 collection.

COS was established in 2007 and has since scaled into a global brand. It is sold in Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America and the Middle East.

Today the brand has a 252-store portfolio, spanning 47 physical markets, 38 online markets and selected wholesale partners. This includes eight stores in Australia and two in New Zealand.
