British lifestyle brand Ted Baker has partnered with Vinnies shops for the second consecutive year, supporting a range of community services helping Australia's homeless.
Pre-loved coats can be taken to Ted Baker Australia stores in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, which will then be sold through Vinnies.
In return for their donation, Ted Baker customers will receive a 25 per cent discount redeemable in any of the brand’s Australian stores.
"At times like this we are grateful to corporate partners like Ted Baker who support us," says Kevin Mercer, CEO of Vinnies Queensland.
"With winter approaching it’s a busy time for our members and services. People need warm clothes, utility bills go up, and contagious illnesses like Covid and the flu are more easily spread.
"Coupled with the rapidly rising costs of basics like food and petrol, this is set to be a year where many people reach out for help.”
In addition to the primary objective of helping those in need, the partnership will also encourage those who donate their pre-loved coats to reduce their fashion waste and raise awareness of clothing recycling by diverting clothing waste from landfill.
Founded in 1988, Ted Baker now offers a broad assortment of womenswear, menswear, footwear, and accessories and has over 400 locations globally. The brand operates six boutiques and three outlets across Australia.
