Iconic British retailer T.M.Lewin has revealed it will forge ahead with further expansion in the Australian market.
The businesswear retailer, established in 1898, launched its first Australian flagship in Sydney last year – the first to be owned and operated by the company outside the UK and Ireland.
The brand has now confirmed it will open another store in Australia this month, on Collins Street in the Melbourne CBD, with the second outlet to herald a new era of expansion.
According to the company, to date there are just under 100 T.M.Lewin stores in the UK with further stores opening this year in countries across the rest of the world including Africa, Europe, Singapore and Malaysia. This expansion will more than double T.M.Lewin’s global presence.
“Expansion into Australia marks the start of an exciting new era for the company. The T.M.Lewin brand continues to grow from strength to strength with plans to further expand both local and international markets in 2013.”
The T.M.Lewin product offering includes a range of tailored shirts, suiting and accessories.
However, the new T.M.Lewin Melbourne store will also be the first to exclusively stock the label’s new generation of womenswear; offering a tailored capsule collection of workwear.
Before its initial first Australian launch, the T.M.Lewin range was principally available to Australians online, where the brand established a loyal customer base. Within Australia today, T.M.Lewin offers its customers the choice to shop in the brand’s retail stores, exclusively through the Myer department stores or online.
