Global yearly sales for Strand’s standalone brand Nere have hit $95 million in the last twelve months. 

The brand itself was launched in mid-2022 through an Australian online channel and was then expanded into the United Kingdom in mid-2023 through a dedicated online channel there. 

Nere also opened its first-ever owned retail store in Melbourne Central in November 2023.

Amid the brand’s second birthday, Nere has launched its latest collection called Bondi, and includes the largest Nere hardcase luggage alongside a range of accessories including a tote bag, a cross-body bag, a backpack and a sling bag across six colourways.

It joins the brand’s current ranges Stori, Caype and Seeker.

“I’m so excited for the launch of the Bondi collection,” Nere and Strand CEO Felicity McGahan said.

“This has been two years in the making and so much thought has gone into the design to make it our most innovative, fashionable and functional collection yet. With Bondi we introduce more soft luggage to the collection, with highlights including the tote bag, which are perfect for the solo traveller to the everyday commuter and everything in between. 

“The pastel colours give a sense of 90s nostalgia, bringing our Australian optimism through joyful colours, a key component to Nere that our customers love.” 

Nere’s Bondi collection will be available to shop online on both the Strand and Nere websites. Prices start from $220.
