Speedo Australia has teamed up with Sticky Fingers keys player Freddy Crabs to launch its newest men's swimwear collection.
The rockstar is helping the brand launch its witty 'Escape Briefs', which feature a range of six bold colours and designs.
Speedo Australia head of design Tahnee McIlwraith said that the collection plays into Aussie humour.
"Aussie men are known for their ability to take the micky out of themselves and their mates.
"The Speedo Escape briefs range allows men to have some fun and express themselves through bright colours and cheeky prints.
"It's refreshing that in 2020 the Aussie bloke feels confident to rock a 5cm brief at the beach, pool or BBQ with his mates," she said.
The range has been crafted with Speedo’s signature 5cm brief style and features internal drawcords and front lining, the quirky placement prints and a blend of polyester, nylon and spandex.
Speedo head of marketing James Hickman added that using Crabs for the campaign was an easy choice.
"Freddy is known and loved for his ability to just get down into his dacks while on stage.
"He is definitely the kind of guy we expect to be wearing these new swimmers this summer, and not just to do laps in the pool," he said.
"This summer it’s time to drop it like it’s hot!" Crabs said.
"You can’t go wrong with these fresh Speedos."
The Escape Brief can be found at Speedo retail locations and at 48 Rebel stores across Australia as well as on the Rebel website.
The Escape Briefs retail for $35 each.
