Specsavers has taken its first steps into sustainable eyewear, launching a new range of glasses made with recycled plastic bottles.
Each frame in the ReWear collection is manufactured using five recycled plastic water bottles, creating high quality, durable and on-trend glasses.
Alongside the water bottles, the frames also contain bio-based materials.
"Inspired by nature in both style and substance, the ReWear range features classic frame shapes and minimalist designs complimented by playful colours and translucent acetates, making the range wearable for everyone," Specsavers said in a statement.
The ReWear collection features 24 optical and six sunglasses styles.
The ReWear optical styles are currently available in-store and online, with the sun frames launching on October 7.
The collection is priced at $249.00 for two pairs single vision.
