Song for the Mute has opened the doors to its first concept store, taking inspiration from creative director Lyna Ty's current inspirations.
Open for a six-month period, the store is located at 141 King Street, Sydney.
The site features suspended batten lights, a mirrored wall and stainless steel counters. Drawing on dystopian themes, the space is also framed by latex curtains, a chipped central garment conveyor and weeds bursting through cracked tiles.
The weeds are a four-way collaboration between Hermetica Flowers, Colourblind Florist, artist Hamish Powell, and Song for the Mute.
Visitors to the store can shop Song for the Mute's current 22.2 collection which is inspired by an area of Paris called Les Olympiades.
The urban housing project was constructed around the late 60s, and early 70s in Paris 13th, where Ty spent her early childhood.
The collection features stonewashed denim, contrasting colours and warped graphics.
