Global fast fashion giant Shein will launch a gifting space at Oz Comic-Con’s Christmas event in Melbourne this December.
As part of its collaboration, Shein will offer a selection of beauty, fashion, home and living products at its own activation during Oz Comic-Con’s Xmas Edition 2024 - free and redeemable through participation in various games available at the activation.
Oz Comic-Con attracts hundreds of thousands of attendees every year through events across Australia, covering various facets of ‘geek culture’ such as gaming, comic books, TV shows and movies. The events tend to feature panels, cosplay competitions and exclusive meet-and-greets.
A Shein spokesperson said its ‘Giftorium’ experience at Oz Comic-Con is a great way to connect with its customers.
“Our aim is to connect face-to-face with consumers, with no sales functions taking place at the event itself. The goal is to engage directly with attendees and showcase our range of ultimate Christmas gifting,” the spokesperson said.
“But the experience doesn’t end there - on display will be a select range of key items as a part of the ‘Giftoirum’ event. However, online is where all our Australian customers can look to dive into the full range available across Shein for festive gifting.”
“With an easy shopping process including free returns, customers can shop efficiently from anywhere.”
The latest move by Shein comes as the global fashion giant surpassed The Iconic in terms of total monthly website traffic in Australia. Myer still remains the top fashion brand in Australia in terms of online traffic, with 9,412,403 visitors recorded in October 2024.
