Australian jewellery brand Sarah & Sebastian has launched its first temporary retail concept inside David Jones' Sydney CBD flagship.

Running until May 2023, the new pop-up will offer Sarah & Sebastian’s recently launched collection Suspense, and is expected to be the only Australian jeweller on the ground floor of the Elizabeth Street department store.

Its Suspense range includes natural diamonds and green emeralds in 18 karat gold tension settings. Sarah & Sebastian will also launch a Quarter Lunette necklace with a round solitaire diamond as an exclusive for the David Jones, Sydney.

Alongside its new range, the Sarah & Sebastian pop-up will include personalised birthstone jewellery within its Celestial, Nymph and Petite Letter collections, and its 10-year-old Xanthe collection..

The service is expected to mirror its usual store experience, with the ability to book a consultation on the Sarah & Sebastian website.

The jeweller will also be including its made-to-order offering at the Elizabeth Street Flagship for the first time. This service allows customers to customise elements on prospective purchases.

Sarah & Sebastian said each piece is handcrafted within a week at its studio in Sydney, by an in-house team of jewellers, and is then shipped direct to the customer.

Sarah & Sebastian was founded in 2012 by Sarah Munroe and Robert Sebastian Grynkofki. The cofounders said they both back local manufacturing, with most of its ranges made in Australia.

Alongside its made-to-order service, Sarah & Sebastian also operate a repair workshop in a bid to reduce waste.

The brand operates six stores across Sydney and Melbourne, with stockists in both Australia and New Zealand. The brand also sells through luxury etailer Net-A-Porter.
