SABA is expanding into the womenswear swimwear category through a new collaboration with Australian lifestyle brand Ephemera.
Ephemera founder and designer Nicole Banning has designed for Zimmermann and luxury fashion house Yves Saint Laurent in Paris.
SABA head of brand Sang Johnson said the collaboration aims to extend its product offering.
"We launched our S/B/ by SABA collection back in 2020 with a focus on our off-duty wardrobe and we saw great success last year in it.
"We wanted to give our customers a complete wardrobe offering, maintaining our refined aesthetic but with a more relaxed sense of style. It was exciting to see this collection resonate with our customers and with travel now coming back in a big way, we felt it was an opportune time to complete the off duty offering with a swim collection.”
Banning, who has worked with the SABA team previously, said she loves to collaborate with different creative professionals.
“The collaboration was a natural evolution of an existing relationship I have with the team. It has been fun to adapt our sensibility to the SABA customer.”
The swimwear collection features a range of classic swimwear shapes crafted from Brazilian ribbed fabric and Spanish swim Lycra.
“Our fabrications are at the heart of our product, and this swim collection is no different,” Johnson said. “We worked together with Ephemera to source high quality fabrics from Europe and South America to ensure these pieces last the test of time.”
The new range is sold online and at selected stores across Australia, as well as in selected concessions at David Jones, including Newmarket in New Zealand.
