Australian fashion retailer SABA has launched a bridesmaid venture, ahead of the spring/summer wedding season.

IBISWorld estimates Australia's bridal industry is worth over $300 million per year.

SABA head womenswear designer Tanya Emon said the collection was inspired by classic SABA silhouettes.

“We wanted to make sure the bridesmaid collection was still very wearable and relevant to the SABA range, so we further developed silhouettes that we had already designed for the main range and delved a bit deeper into draping, adding soft, considered flounces to create nice movement.”

The range is largely comprised of navy and blush tones, already core colours for the SABA customer and popular with bridal parties.

It has also been injected with black and red, with a Bloomfield floral dress the hero print piece.

Each piece is manufactured from 100% silk and priced from $299 to $429.

Emon said the launch of a bridesmaid line complements SABA's men's suiting collection, making it a one-stop wedding destination.
