Australia footwear retailer Rossi Boots has launched a limited edition men’s range, made entirely from locally grown and tanned leather.

The leather is sourced from Naracoorte, South Australia, with skins sent to Geeling in Victoria for tanning before being sent back to Adelaide for crafting and production.

Featuring five styles: Mulga 4002, Simpson 4003, Ripple 4046, Endura Redwood 303 and Endura Tan 303, the collection is exclusive, with only 30 pairs of each made and available for sale online.

The brand launched in 1908, making leather sports boots from founder Arthur Rossiter’s backyard shed.

Two years later, Rossi Boots had built its own factory in Adelaide, which has led the business across its 112 year history, spanning four generations.

Rossi was the supplier of 110,000 boots to the soldiers of World War One, before launching its ripple sole desert boot design in the 50s.
