Australian denim brand Rolla's Jeans has signed on Danish supermodel and photographer Helena Christensen for its latest campaign.
Christensen is a member of the ‘Magnificent Seven’ supermodels of the 1990s alongside Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Elle Macpherson, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, and Claudia Schiffer.
Beyond her modelling career, she has also earned recognition as a professional photographer.
Stills and videos of the photoshoot are currently featured across Rolla’s Jeans website and its social channels.
“I spent my teen years and twenties wearing long vintage dresses, ball gowns, and everything secondhand,” Christensen said. “But then, I discovered denim, and it was like a whole new world opened up. I became obsessed.
“Denim is such an amazing fabric – it’s durable, versatile, and you can style it in so many ways.”
The campaign also highlights Christensen’s creative partnership with her best friend and stylist, Camilla Staerk. Over the years, the duo worked together on lookbooks, personal projects, and now this campaign for Rolla’s.
“It's interesting because Camilla and I met about 24 years ago,” Christensen said. “I had just co-founded Nylon magazine, and she had just done her first design collection.
“We actually did her first lookbook together – just Polaroids. We went to Prague, found some local girls, and that was the start of our collaboration. Over the years, it’s evolved into so many different projects, and now we’re working on prefab cottages together.”
