New Zealand menswear label Rodd & Gunn is launching a new sportswear collection in collaboration with sporting brand Gilbert Rugby.

The new range includes winter jackets, printed sweatshirts, hoodies, cotton-blend knitwear, polo shirts and pleated trousers. It also includes accessories such as stadium scarves, rugby duffle bags and sneakers, as well as co-branded Rodd & Gunn x Gilbert rugby balls.

To mark the partnership, the two brands have designed a custom emblem shown throughout the range, and each garment has been named after a rugby stadium from throughout England (where Gilbert is based) and New Zealand.

Rodd & Gunn CEO Mike Beagley welcomed the collaboration.

“We’ve kept this collection true to our brand, keeping in mind the rich heritage and sporting nature of Gilbert, ensuring it appeals to rugby enthusiasts on and off the field,” he said.

Gilbert Rugby CEO Richard Gray echoed Beagley’s statement, saying both brands share a passion for quality, performance and style.

The full range is now sold at Rodd & Gunn stores as well as select David Jones stores nationally.

Rodd & Gunn was established in Auckland, New Zealand in 1987, with a growing presence in the Northern Hemisphere. As well as AU and NZ, it has stores and stockists in Canada, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, and the United States.
