Industry figureheads such as Kookai co-founder Rob Cromb and A.BCH founder Courtney Holm are taking part in a three-day seminar series at the upcoming Global Sourcing Expo in Melbourne.

Cromb will take part in a five-person panel discussion called ‘The Fiji Fashion Explosion’, alongside former Fashion Design Studio head Nicholas Huxley, Fiji Fashion Week founder and managing director Ellen Whippy Knight, emerging menswear designer Temesia Tuicaumia and Fiji-based Australian designer Tracey Farrington.

Meanwhile, Holm will discuss how brands and businesses can manage sourcing and the supply chain.

She will join Huxbaby GM Athena Voudiotis, The Sourcing Club owner and founder Paul Murdoch and La Trobe University associate professor of forensic and sustainable accounting Dr Neale O'Connor.

Other fashion and retail industry figureheads taking part in the seminar series include Mind Your Fashion director Jude Kingston, RMIT University Dean of the School of Fashion & Textiles Professor Alice Payne, Australian Retailers Association CEO Paul Zahra, and the former Kmart head of sustainability Rick Lambell - now the founder and CEO of Beyond Sustainable Retail Group (BSRG).

The Global Sourcing Expo was launched more than a decade ago by the International Expo Group, and covers global sourcing in apparel and textiles in Australia.

“The Expo is renowned for its focus on contemporary trends and challenges in global sourcing through the curation of a dynamic industry-led seminar program, and its continued focus on attracting quality suppliers to the show from countries and regions that are well known to attendees, as well as other sourcing hubs of interest,” International Expo Group global exhibitions director Julie Holt said.

The upcoming Melbourne Expo will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 19 to 21, 2024.
