Australian surf brand Rip Curl is renewing its multi-million dollar partnership with Australian surfer Tyler Wright for another three years.
Tyler Wright is a two-time World Champion surfer, with goals to achieve more world titles and medals in the future.
The recent partnership renewal will now surpass more than 20 years between Rip Curl and Wright.
In April 2022, Wright won the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach competition, collecting her 15th Championship Tour prize. Her win followed four years of recovery from Post Viral Syndrome.
Rip Curl CEO Brooke Farris said this is a significant contract renewal as the pair reach a 20-year milestone.
“It acknowledges Tyler’s outstanding achievements to date, and reflects our belief in Tyler for her years ahead,” Farris said. “In the water or on the land, Tyler brings strength, determination, honesty, and intuition to all she sets her heart and mind to.
“A pleasure to support, we’re privileged to be in Tyler’s corner as she sets her sights on adding to her two world titles.”
Wright said the multi-million-dollar deal represents women’s progression, equality and inclusion in the Australian surf industry.
“Over the last few years, Rip Curl has shown tremendous investment in women’s surfing, and I am proud to continue our partnership together,” Wright said. “I look forward to furthering program development around the areas of performance, mental health, and wellbeing for this generation and the next.”
