The eight-time world champion surfer Stephanie Gilmore has launched her first-ever fashion collection in collaboration with Rip Curl.
This follows the announcement of Gilmore’s multi-million dollar, eight-year partnership with the Australian surf brand earlier this year.
The range covers around 20 items, including wetsuits, swimwear, boardshorts and accessories such as a bucket bag and a cap.
“It’s been super fun to work closely with the women’s design team at Rip Curl and with my creative team to bring this collection to life,” Gilmore said.
“It’s an everyday collection for beach life—a timeless surf capsule inspired by iconic Rip Curl logos from the ’70s with classic colours, all things that I love.”
Rip Curl head of design Amy Findlay said the collaboration was a inspiring two-way street.
“[Gilmore’s] vision and personal style drove the creative direction, while we focused on refining the design details, construction, and fit. It was a true partnership, blending her authenticity with Rip Curl’s history and innovation.”
Stephanie’s relationship with Rip Curl began in the year 2000 when she signed with the brand at just 12 years old. She went on to win four consecutive world titles while donning the Rip Curl sticker on the nose of her board, including clinching her first world title in her Rookie year on the Championship Tour.
After parting ways in 2011, Stephanie continued to cement her legacy as a world-leading female surfer, winning eight world titles.
The Rip Curl x Stephanie Gilmore Vol. 1 collection is currently sold at select Rip Curl stockists and via its online website.
