Rebel is set to open its first Rebel customer experience store in South Australia at Rundle Mall next week.
The business will bring its innovative customer experience store concept to South Australian customers on April 07, with the Rundle Mall store the ninth of its kind to be opened nationally.
The store will also be Rebel's first flagship CBD experience store, signalling the brand's commitment to expanding its concept store across different store types.
Following renovations and redesigns, Rebel's Rundle Mall store is now housed over three levels and is 80% larger than its predecessor.
"We are thrilled to open our first flagship CBD experience store in Adelaide that will inspire customers to chase their sporting dreams and passion, which is the ethos of what we do at Rebel," Rebel state retail manager VIC/TAS/SA Phil Grillo said.
"The new Rebel flagship CBD experience store focuses on digital innovation, inspiring customers at every available touch point throughout the store that brings the shopping experience to life," he said.
Customers shopping in the store will be able to engage with dedicated sporting zones, including the 'Home Of' basketball and football areas which feature interactive experiences where customers can shoot hoops or play Rebel Football Smash.
The store also houses the 'World of Running' zone where customers can test out an array of shoes before they buy, with a dumbwaiter (small lift) transporting the shoes between the basement and level one.
Meanwhile, the in-store EA Gaming system gives customers the chance to play as their favourite football or NFL team with FIFA and MADDEN on hand.
In addition, the ground floor features a focus on women's apparel, with brands like Nimble sitting alongside the likes of Nike, Adidas and Under Armour.
Adelaide Economic Development Agency MD Ian Hill welcomed the Rebel customer experience store to Adelaide.
"This store represents a significant investment in Rundle Mall and as Rebel’s first customer experience concept store in South Australia, it adds to the many local, national and international brands with flagship stores in the city.
"We know shoppers will enjoy the new, interactive shopping experience the store provides," he said.
The Rundle Mall store will open on April 07 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion, DJs, Channel Nine sports reporter Tom Rehn MC-ing the event, and AFL Crows players Darcy Fogarty, Daniel Talia and Kane Cornes in attendance.
