Sporting retailer Rebel will open the doors to its newly refurbished Charlestown store on December 14, 2023.
The new store has been transformed into the retailer’s rCX model, which focuses on in-store customer experience. This includes in-store basketball and soccer experience zones.
Rebel’s rCX format was originally launched in 2020, with 15 stores opened by the end of FY23.
The latest store opening near Newcastle follows the launch of Rebel’s 3,600 square metre rCX store at the Emporium Melbourne in late November - the largest in the Rebel portfolio.
The new Charlestown store will also be fitted out with new brands including Lorna Jane and P.E Nation.
To mark the launch, Rebel will gift the first 85 customers in store with a $85 Rebel voucher, as well as exclusive spend and save offers, on opening day.
It will also include meet and greets with Newcastle Knights players Shanice Parker, Caityln Johnston and Jed Cartwright between 4pm and 5pm, and Matildas star Emily Van Egmond from 5:30pm - 6:30pm.
