Australian luxury designer Rebecca Vallance has struck a deal with Qantas to create limited-edition business-class pyjamas and amenity kits, marking the return of Qantas flights to New York.
For a limited time, Business Class travellers will be offered the kits which incorporate Rebecca Vallance’s Avenue Astoria print collection. Avenue Astoria represents New York's Waldorf Astoria in the 1970s.
The design features a monogram of the Qantas ‘Roo’ and Rebecca Vallance logo and incorporates the flight numbers QF3 and QF4 for the updated New York Route. It includes blue colourways with metallic Italian fabrication and art deco undertones.
Founder of her eponymous label Rebecca Vallance said it was an honour to partner with Qantas.
“New York has always felt like a second home to Rebecca Vallance, and we hope to be visiting even more with the opening of a bricks and mortar retail store in SoHo in the near future,” Vallance said. “We curated the bespoke Rebecca Vallance design as a homage to one of the world’s most vibrant and exciting cities.”
Qantas marked the partnership in an exclusive luncheon featuring a runway presentation.
The gowns featured on the runway will be part of a competition for Qantas Frequent Flyers who purchase a Rebecca Vallance item from either Qantas Marketplace or direct from Rebecca Vallance.
A limited number of Rebecca Vallance Qantas Pyjamas and Amenity kits will be available to purchase at Qantas Marketplace through a points redemption purchase.
Qantas will begin operating flights from Sydney to New York for the first time since 2020 on June 14, 2023, via a short stopover in Auckland.
