Global eyewear brand Ray-Ban and American tech company Meta is currently executing a local rollout of their digital eyewear across Australia.

The Ray-Ban x Meta Glasses is now stocked across JB Hi Fi and Harvey Norman stores and online following a stockist deal. This includes a self-serve interactive demo experience launching in stores.

This adds to the current stockist mix including Sunglass Hut, and for prescription lenses at OPSM, Laubman and Plank.

Meta has also launched an online brand store with both Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi featuring all Meta products available in retail.

Key features of the Ray-Ban x Meta Glasses include Meta AI, video calling capabilities, camera, open-ear audio, calling and messaging and livestream capabilities. A recent new update that is being added to the Australian rollout includes live translation.

Alongside this, Ray-Ban and Meta are planning a marketing campaign from early next month, featuring local celebrity Chris Hemsworth. The content has already been shot with a video released to YouTube.

The ads will be supplemented with additional product-focused creative assets across both digital and out-of-home.
